This is a new feature of my website where I will offer one painting or drawing per week at a discounted price. Think of it as a loyalty reward for my followers!
Currently, I do not have PayPal set up for my site, so transactions will have to be made the old-fashioned way - in person or through the mail. Pieces will be sold on a first-come-first-served basis, so email quick to get this painting!
"Poppy"

Story: This sweet, little drawing captures a lone California Poppy. If you live in the Antelope Valley, you know these amazing little flowers! Their bright orange stands out in our desert terrain - and even more against our clear skies.
This poppy is closed up, keeping its fragile petals safe while being blown in the wind. It is a contradiction of durability and delicacy. An inspiring choice for our State Flower.

Story:
This painting is titled after a Japanese exchange student my family hosted when I was five. She lived with us for three months on her first visit and we grew so close she came back!
Naoko visited us three more times over the years, her brother visited, and her mother and uncle as well. When I was 18, I had the wonderful opportunity to stay with her in Japan for a few weeks.
This painting was done with her in mind. It conveys the feelings of memory, warm tea, and comfortable simplicity.
